Joel has developed his professional career as a consultant in structures over a period of 20 years. First, in Brufau, Obiol, Moya & Ass., SLP, where he started as an architectural intern in 1998 and where he became head of the R + D + I department. He occupied that position until the end of 2011, when he founded Windmill Structural Consultants together with Josep Ramon Solé.

Throughout his career Joel has researched and solved different theories and calculation techniques, from the most classical to the currently evolving, allowing him to successfully develop calculation software capable of analyzing most of the problems inherent in building structures.

Joel has presented many of the programs he has developed and various collaborations in Master courses at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and at the European University in Valencia, and has taught in La Salle de Tarragona, Ramon Llull University.
